Restoring Dignity: Screening
This November we hosted a screening of Restoring Dignity, a powerful film directed by Claire Jeantet and Fabrice Catérini. With the invite extended across a variety of disciplines in the Toronto community, we deeply value our attendees. This year, we were honoured to host Claire and Mulikat Okanlawon, who was featured in the film, for a meaningful Q&A.

Stories From Sokoto
OMFS Specialist, Dr. Melissa Amundson dedicated her time towards delivering an inspiring, moving, and deeply significant talk about noma and her own first-hand experience dealing with noma surgery in Sokoto, Nigeria. It is through individuals like Dr. Amundson that advocacy, awareness, and the voices of those who have experienced noma are amplified.

NAG Bake Sale
Our NAG members and friends baked sweet treats from sea salt caramel brownies to miniature apple pies and to a plethora of cookies. We were blown away by the support from students and staff and high demand for our treats! This year, our bake sale raised around $1300 for noma.

100 Miles for NAG
Second year University of Toronto dental student, Sam Yang, dedicated his 32 hour long and 100 mile run to NAG. Yang generously collected donations from his community to put towards a cause deeply important to him, raising awareness to noma. Yang raised just shy of $900 for noma.
